The small set of cookies we use
Last updated . We try to keep this list as short as possible.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website saves on your device so it can remember something about your visit. Some cookies are essential to make a site work at all; others help the people running the site understand how it is being used.
2. The cookies this site uses
Strictly necessary
- pp_ack_v1 — remembers that you have closed the privacy notice so we do not show it again on every visit. Stored locally in your browser, no personal data, no expiry until you clear your browser storage.
Analytics
- _session_view — a short-lived anonymous identifier used to count unique visits to each page. Deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.
- _page_route — records the order in which you moved between pages so we can identify journeys that are difficult to follow. Expires after thirty days.
Functional
- map_consent — set only if you choose to load the embedded Google Map on the contacts page. Expires after six months.
3. Third-party cookies
The embedded Google Map on our contacts page may set cookies from Google when it loads. We have no control over those cookies; please refer to Google's own policies for details. The icon and font services we use are loaded from public content delivery networks that do not, to our knowledge, set tracking cookies.
4. Managing cookies
You can change your mind at any time. The simplest options are:
- Clearing site data for this website in your browser settings, which resets every cookie we have set.
- Using your browser's privacy or incognito mode, which discards cookies when the window is closed.
- Blocking third-party cookies entirely in your browser settings — the site will still function, but the map may be limited.
5. Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track signal where your browser sends it. When DNT is on, our analytics cookies are not set at all.
6. Updates to this policy
If we add or remove a cookie we will update this page and refresh the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be flagged in the privacy notice on the site.
7. Questions
If anything here is unclear, please write to us through the contact page and we will explain in more detail.
